sketching kyo heads. i needed to get myself to break the habit ask kyo started me on of giving him little toony dot eyes, because it was leaking into the comic when it was inappropriate.
basicly the only time i should be giving him dot eyes in the comic is when he’s a small figure in a frame. tiny face = simpler features.
if i draw the upper line of the eye first, his eyes turn out right. depending on the character i do the line order of the eyes different. do not ask me how or why this makes a difference in how they turn out, but it totally does.
kyo actually has short sideburns at this point in the story, but it’s kind of hard to see when he’s already got fur on his face. 
i also need to remember to keep giving him the thicker eyebrows. and i’m still learning how to do the whole ringo starr nose.
